Amazing Piano House in China- Monday, September 17th 2012.
Wow it’s amazing! Music and architecture are two of my favorite art forms, so when the two collided for this stunning Piano House, we knew it would be love at first sight. Sometimes this is a good thing while some other times the decisions seem simply crazy. This Amazing Piano House designed by the students of the architectural design faculty of Hefey University of Technology with the designers of the company “Huainan Fangkai Decoration Project Co”. It was reportedly built to a scale of 50:1. A gorgeous transparent violin is attached to the piano building, which features a staircase that connects the two giant instruments.
Here different modern materials have been used, and basically- the black and transparent glass. Amazing Piano House in China was constructed for music lovers, and serves a practice facility for musical student at the nearby college. It also displays various city plans and development prospects in an effort to draw interest to the recently developed area. Because of its unique shape it has become a popular tourist place and many newlyweds have their photo taken in its front. And apparently this was the only reason for its construction: to bring as many tourists as possible in order to improve the local economy. Tourists can admire the king and queen of musical instruments, which stand proudly in a classic contrast of black and white, rising up and praising the city in all over the world. This landmark leads you to a dizzying musical world. Despite its popularity, the building is often criticized as a kind of postmodern kitsch and a typical student project, which is much more outrageous than the art and functionality. Blue and white lights outline the figure of the piano and violin which make it a remarkable view. So the next time you are in China, do try having a look at it!
