Design Collective: A Contemporary yet Distinctive Approach from Neri & Hu

This extravagant yet marvelous contemporary architecture work was well done by a famous Chinese architect couple, Neri and Hu. Lies in the middle of progressive metropolitan Chinese life that growth vastly at all aspect, this wonderful piece of art reflect it. This design collective from Neri & Hu of Shanghai has been the actor behind the new modern Chinese aesthetic movement since 2006. They also well known for the top quality materials in their work and their craftsmanship for all the interior and exterior products. Their avant garde yet contemporary approach at this design collective its just another great work they’ve done.
Your eyes will distracted by the black and white with contemporary pattern that covers all the exterior walls. The opaque yet aesthetic graphic wrapper that covers it was made with carbon fiber panel, so it has its authentic texture. And the minimalist yet cubical shape of the building gives you a wide vision from the simplicity yet contemporary approach. Even though it’s cubical, but there are some diagonal wall that takes the distinctive part for the building. The graphic at the exterior walls that has some contemporary pattern that makes it looks bold yet distinctive.
And because it was a design collective show, when you came at the first floor you’ll see the good work that houses by Design Republic Qingpu. They were showcasing some interior and decorative products that created by the top design talents that collaborate with both foreign and local designers. The purpose itself is to create products exploring the new modern Chinese distinctive yet aesthetic championed by Neri & Hu. And from the interior that designed by those famous architects couple, you’ll see some unordinary yet fresh idea from its looks. The bold and unordinary shape of the stairs will give you an extravagant distraction at the first sight. The simple and round hanging lamps that placed at the ceiling fills the simple space at the top the rooms. And it was really inviting to see and roam!
