I think this hotel design is weird! Marqués De Riscal is in Elciego, in the heart of the Rioja wine country. The closest international airport is in Bilbao, about two hours away by car. Logroño Airport, which serves national flights, is about half an hour away.All stylish rooms at the Hotel Marqués de Riscal feature a distinctive zig-zag window seat with views of the valley.

Designed by Frank Gehry, this avant-garde hotel offers free Wi-Fi, a spa and 2 restaurants. At the top of the hotel there is a rooftop library-lounge and a wine bar. It is comprised of several cuboids which are pushed into one another. Marqués De Riscal Hotel feature is a bold roof structure with an almost free-floating titanium skin that optically accentuates this most extraordinary construction. This highly innovative building with its roof that changes colour depending on the light, built with glass, titanium and stone cladding, stands out among the surrounding vineyards, and is the perfect place for a relaxing break.

An outdoor terrace leads to a small pool, and a covered walkway extending from the building allows visitors the opportunity to overlook the vineyards and the surrounding region. Offices and meeting rooms for administrative staff are located adjacent to the building and are linked both to the building and to existing winery offices and production facilities. Floor-to-ceiling wood-framed windows, many jutting from the corners of the volumes, peek out amid flowing rolls of mirror-finish stainless steel and pale gold-and-pink-colored titanium.
