Peacock Chair by Studio Dror: Aesthetics and innovative design

The ‘Peacock Chair‘ is Dror Studio’s first collaboration with furniture manufacturer Cappellini. Designed by Dror Benshetrit, the chair’s form is created out of three sheets of felt and a minimal metal frame. Studio Dror’s Peacock chair uses three sheets of felt and a simple metal frame to produce the look of the bird’s train. The folds of the felt are woven tightly to form a structured yet incredibly comfortable lounge chair, with no sewing or upholstery involved. Armchair realized with crumpled sheets of felt, one-color (green or blue) or double-color (green and blue coupled with grey color). Base in metal, powder varnished in dark brown color. Double-color felt can be used leaving on front side both the colored surface and the grey one. The chair was designed by Dror Benshetrit and is the studio’s first collaboration with furniture maker Cappellini.
